I wish you would take just a minute to tell me what you think of my website. Be frank and don't worry about hurting my feelings. If you like the way I display my books, tell me so. If I have left out something, over done something, or need to edit something, you will do me a real favor by telling me about it.
I like to read what others have to say about a guestbook. Sometimes, it is quite startling how another person looks at something (and that can be great or it can be a bummer). Anyway, whatever you say in my guestbook others will read--and judge accordingly.
In a sense a guestbook is the history of a website. And since sites never remain the same for very long (if the webmaster remains active), the running commentaries give a kind of picture of what went before.
